Angelica Maria Vale Hartman (also known professionally as Angelica Vale) is a Mexican American performer, actress, singer comic, radio host and comedian. Her birthplace was in Mexico City and was raised by the comedian Raul Vale. She was recognized in 1973 for the creation of the La Balada Ranchera (Ranchera Ballad) music genre. It topped charts, making Angelica Maria the first Latin musician to achieve the feat of selling 2 million copies of her music within the United States. She also met Venezuelan comedian/singer Raul Vale. She married him in April of 1975. It was the first wedding to be seen on television in Mexico.
